Easy to keep skincare resolutions for 2020

The best resolutions are those that mean making small changes as they are often more successful and easier to keep. With this in mind, we thought it would be a good idea to put forward a few ideas to help you improve your skincare routine in 2020.

The road to healthier skin can change as the years go on — as you may now focus less on acne and more on hydration. Here are a few easy to keep skincare resolutions to give you glowing, healthy skin!

Drink more water

If you’re a keen follower of our blog you’ll probably have heard us say this before, but one of the easiest ways to improve the health, balance, and appearance of your skin is to drink more water. Drinking more water is important especially if you sit in front of a computer screen all day as it forces you to take a minute away from your desk to properly stretch and rehydrate.

One way you can remember to hydrate is to set a timer on your phone every hour or so, or incorporate it into your normal morning routine. The point is to work it into your life until it becomes a habit and you’re drinking the right amount of water every day. You wouldn’t believe the results you can get from this simple solution!

If you have tried this and you’re still struggling, many companies now make smart water bottles that track how much water you’re drinking! This can be a good motivator and monitoring tool for your water consumption throughout the day.

Moisturise (day and night)

The best way to protect your skin from damage is to hydrate with a proper moisturiser. If you can only stick to either day or night it’s generally best to do it at night as that’s when your skin repairs itself.

However, if you live in a city centre it may be better to do it in the morning to create an additional barrier between your skin and harmful airborne chemicals.

Another way to incorporate additional moisturiser into your skincare routine is to incorporate anti-wrinkle serums into either the morning or evening. Ideally, both, but if you can only choose one the best way (especially if your eyes are puffy in the morning) is to apply anti-wrinkle serum for face and eyes at night. This will help protect your skin through slow absorption into the skin overnight.

Face mask once a week

In the era of self-care, a simple face mask a week can help keep your skin clear from blemishes and imperfections. Plus, masks can help your skin stay clean and healthy if you live in a busy city or regularly commute in for work.

If you reserve 10 to 15 minutes a week to apply a face mask and then sit quietly to catch-up on a book, or even start another Netflix show it can create a short moment of zen. Personal time is never wasted and your skin will thank you!

Try EDermarolling Collagen Therapy

Collagen is a naturally occurring structural protein found in our skin and other connective tissues. As we age, our collagen production naturally slows down, and this is part of why our skin starts to wrinkle.

One of the ways you can stimulate collagen production in your skin is with EDermaroller Collagen Therapy. This special type of skincare treatment is designed to help brighten, re-hydrate, and stimulate collagen production to improve the look and feel of your skin.

You’ll notice younger looking and feeling skin after a full therapy session of three separate treatments.
