Skincare solutions for dry skin

Do you suffer from itchy, dry or scaly skin? Dry skin is the result of skin that has lost moisture or cannot retain it. While many of us are prone to different skin conditions, like dry or oily skin, dry skin tends to be one condition that can affect everyone. Even if you don’t tend to have dry skin, it can become a problem for many during the winter months. As the temperature drops, so do the humidity levels – leaving normal skin at risk of dryness too. Furthermore, hormones affect the skin too – meaning even the oiliest of skin can become dry with age. With this in mind, we’re sharing our skincare solutions for managing and preventing dry skin.

Cleanse your skin with care

Hot water and harsh cleansing products and soaps can make dry skin even worse. Instead of setting your shower to steaming hot temperatures, turn the dial down a little. This will ensure your skin isn’t robbed of any moisture. When cleansing your face, it’s advisable that you use warm water, instead of hot. Team lukewarm water with a gentle, natural cleanser too – rather than your everyday soap or highly-fragranced beauty cleanser.

Moisturise with dry skin appropriate products

Whether you have dry skin, sensitive skin, or oily skin, it’s important to choose the right skincare product for your skin type. Picking any old moisturiser off the shelf will do little to tackle the problem.

At AP Skincare, we have a number of specially formulated skincare products. Our range includes super-hydrating and moisturising solutions for skin. Our popular dry skin product ranges include FLAVO-C, vitamin C infused products that increase hydration and protection the skin; and Retriderm, vitamin A infused products that tackle roughness, dryness and fine lines.

Treat your skin to anti-ageing treatments

As we age, dry skin tends to become more of a problem. Hormone levels change and the skin becomes dry and dehydrated. While changes like these are inevitable, there are a number of treatments out there that can help.

Our Derma-Facials and Chemical Peels revitalise, tone and hydrate the face to restore skin health. While you’ll see results after your first treatment, we recommend a course of 4-6 to gain the optimum benefits.

Our Edermaroller Collagen Therapy is another popular choice for dry and dehydrated skin. The treatment tackles the root causes of dry skin as well as lines and wrinkles – which appear as a result. Ideal for over 30s skin, you’ll be blown away by the results!
