General Dentistry
Nobody looks forward to having a tooth removed. So, if you’ve been told you may need a tooth extraction, it’s understandable to have questions or feel a little nervous about what comes next.
At AP Smilecare, we’re here to make the experience as comfortable and straightforward as possible. Our friendly Blackburn dental team will talk you through the process, answer any questions and make sure you know what to expect.
We’ll always look at whether your natural tooth can be saved first. But if a tooth is badly damaged, decayed or infected and an extraction is the best option for your oral health, we’ll help you understand why and what happens next.
If you need help with a painful or damaged tooth, get in touch with our friendly team today.

There are a number of reasons why removing a tooth may be the best option for your oral health. It might be to relieve pain, treat an infection or prevent problems from affecting your surrounding teeth and gums.
Your dentist may recommend a tooth extraction because of:
Whatever the reason, we’ll make sure you understand why an extraction has been recommended and what your options are, so you can make an informed decision about your treatment going forward.
